What I am about to say has nothing to do with the fact that we share a last name (Although I personally think Guidry’s ARE pretty cool.) 😉 We are not related, and in fact, he has no idea that I am even doing this post today.

I just simply wanted to. Because ever since last Saturday night at Kelly and Jason’s wedding, I knew Adrion made it onto my own personal mental list of all-time favorite vendors.

He’s got character, but not just the fun/friendly and interesting character that a D.J. should have at a wedding, but good character: the kind of man who would give you the shirt off off his back and kneel or stand so you can sit in his chair. And his character is one of the primary reasons I am featuring him today.

The other is the amount of passion and dedication he has for his work. Adrion spends an average of 30 hours with every bride and groom preparing the music and mood for their wedding day. He’s organized, he’s considerate, and he listens, in order to deliver the type of music and environment that the couple wants for their reception.

“Integrity, Morality, and Class”: These were three words that I noted when browsing through his website. And I suppose that’s why I wanted to feature him today. My initial impression was of nothing other than a man who upholds that sort of standard for himself and for his business.

Another thing I found really interesting about Adrion is his setup. As you can see, he still uses a mixture of digital and CD’s for his music. After talking to him after the wedding, I found out that his start began long before the digital era, and his experience has transitioned from that era into this, a good mixture of both. 🙂

We got onto the subject of planning for a wedding day, and how much time we both take to make sure that we are working for our couples and creating the product, or in his case, the music that they desire.

This was the music list for Kelly + Jason’s wedding and I can honestly say it was one of the best times I ever had at a wedding reception. I don’t know if it was me enjoying the music, or seeing others enjoy it so much. Either way, it created a wonderful reception environment and I was able to capture some really great moments as a result.

Again, I just wanted to add that I was, in no way, encouraged by him to write this. He has no idea that I even put this together, but I truly believe he is putting out a great service and I want my clients and other brides looking for good music to know about him.

Having a DJ who is aware of what’s going on and cares to communicate with you, your planner, and/or your photographer is SO important! It really makes the wedding run smoothly and everyone has a great time as a result!

Adrion can be reached at (337) 280-5692 or by email at guidryentertainment@gmail.com.

Catherine, I just wanted to drop a note concerning Adrian Guidry and his professionalism, style, character and talent. When Jason and Kelly decided on him as their vendor I was thrilled. He also did the music presentation at our Jill and John Paul Summers’ wedding reception. We never ever have to worry about music lacking morality and integrity being played. He’s the best!

I met Adrion at a wedding I was DJ’ing when he approached me with kind words about the job I did. Getting to know him in that brief moment, I could tell right away that he was a sincere professional of good moral character and integrity. As someone who has been in the “people” business and entertainment for many years, you tend to be able to “read” a person very quickly. I was checking out your beautiful, creative photos of the Hyde/Primeaux wedding (because we are family friends with the Hydes but couldn’t make the wedding because I was DJ’ing another wedding), and noticed your awesome, kind words about Adrion. In the DJ business, there are a lot of inexperienced and unprofessional people out there, so its good to know Adrion is top-notch and someone I’m happy to endorse and send business to.

I especially similar to that. You touched my heart!
