When Friday arrived, I couldn’t believe it. It seemed like only yesterday that Addie and I had first met. I can still remember talking about her wedding which was one and a half years away at that point. Friday morning, I woke up with an extra dose of excitement and energy…(which on normal day may already be too much).
In addition to the Louisiana humidity, love was in the air. Addie looked absolutely incredible and Justin looked sharp as well! Amelia and Max both joined me for the day, capturing the moments as they unfolded.
We started the day at Addie’s mother’s new home and from the moment we arrived, I knew the day would be a blast. Each of her bridesmaids have SO much personality as well as an obsession with perfect teeth so it was pretty entertaining to be there watching them switch from room to room walking around tooth brush in hand. But that wasn’t all, there was lots of laughter, plenty of sarcastic comments, and sincere gestures of sisterly love that I will forever be envious of. 🙂
I know I’ve said it time and time again, but I just adore this couple. And spending the day with them was such a pleasure. Everything about the day was….well, perfect….let me show you what I mean:
I love Addie’s eye for detail….she wouldn’t even decide which bracelet she would wear until after she had the dress on. I totally get it; I am the same way.
Jenny, as always, did an amazing job with Addie’s makeup, and DeEtte did a ROCKIN job on her hair!!!
Addie looked so stunning in her San Patrick gown from one of my favorite boutiques here in town: Sposa Bella.
I’m not sure exactly what it is, but there is something that I love SO much about this photo….
Beautiful Addie!!! I love the wedding palette of petal pink, champagne, and chocolate. So modern!
Pap and Pris did a wonderful job on her bouquet!
LOVE these girls!!!
Don’t they look so handsome?!!
Addie + Justin’s wedding was held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Roads…one of the most beautiful churches I’ve photographed.
Addie + Justin did not want to see each other before the wedding. BUT…I thought it was a REALLY neat idea of Addie’s to still have creative images of them together…without seeing one another!
AH! I love this…so cool that I could see them but they couldn’t see each other.
Justin and Eric had a few laughs at the alter as Piper, the flower girl, ran down the aisle….
….but the moment Addie walked through the doors, his eyes were on her.
This is my favorite shot of the day.
This is such a cool shot of Addie walking in..thanks to Max!
The churches alter is absolutely beautiful!!!!!
Another of my favorites.
Their friends and family prayed over their marriage and their love for each other.
Mr. and Mrs. Justin Soulier
If the bride and groom choose not to see each other before the wedding (like in this case), I love to spend those 15 or 20 minutes together after the ceremony, capturing those beautiful first moments as husband and wife.
🙂 This makes me smile. 🙂
They’re such a sweet and good-looking couple!!!
One of Addie’s favorite details was their candy buffet!
But there was NO detail that was left unnoticed…everything was perfection.
…including this beautiful groom’s cake.
Thanks to Max for this wonderful cake shot below:
The grand entrance….
….and their first dance as husband and wife.
The Something Blue Band put on a great performance…live music is always so much fun. And I adored the lighting! The ambient light here really showed the cool purple glow in the room.
Being there for your wedding was wonderful…thank you for being such amazing clients….and friends.
Addie + Justin,
Thank you. I hope you are off enjoying the wonders of married life…after all, you deserve it!!! 🙂 I hope these images serve as a way to remember the perfection of your day; it definitely turned out to be all those things you envisioned: Vintage, Elegant, and Unique. 🙂 🙂 🙂
And I’d like to send a special thanks to Amelia and Max for doing such a wonderful job on the job. lol…
